The story of One Church began in 2005 with about 40 people meeting in a network of house churches in Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix. One Church’s weekly services in Chandler and Gilbert began on March 10, 2013.
One Church is a nondenominational church. Because members of One Church come from many different religious and spiritual backgrounds, it is important to us that we celebrate each other’s differences and love one another as members of the Body of Christ.
In John 17, Jesus prays for His disciples and then prays for all who would believe through them. In three verses, Jesus uses the word “one” three times.
Jesus prayed that His followers would be unified, as “one.” As a nondenominational church made up of people from many backgrounds, that is our prayer as well.
Since One Church began in 2005, several other congregations have started in the U.S. and UK under the name One Church, but they have no connection to us.
