Have you ever wondered what people of other faiths believe?
What is Islam? What about Eastern religions like Hinduism and Buddhism? What is Judaism, and how are Christianity and Judaism similar in some important ways?
Think of all of the unrest in our world that comes from religious conflict. Imagine if we could learn from one another and appreciate both our similarities and differences? How much more peaceful would our world be? Our differences do matter, but our common humanity matters more.
On April 19, we begin a new series of sermons, Religions of the World, in which we’ll learn about:
Judaism | with special guest Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz
Islam | with special guest Imam Khalil Sultan
During the series, we will welcome two guest speakers who represent Judaism and Islam, as well as learn basic facts about each major religion.
Has there ever been a more important time in our history to learn what others believe and why? It is imperative that we understand one another and come away with a deeper appreciation of the spiritual search common to all humans.
Invite family and friends to Religions of the World beginning April 19.
